Over the years NANGAN has remained the partner organization of Government of Nepal, Ministry of Health & Population and National Center for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC) and sharing its learning and best practices in different forums to formulate the effective National Strategies and Policies to combat against HIV and AIDS in Nepal. NANGAN feels its foremost duty to create the pressure and motivation to the government and donor agencies for the allocation and utilization of the resources properly among the different target groups in Nepal. At this juncture NANGAN has another important motive to drive our efforts towards rural centric rather than the urban centric as the people in the rural communities still have not the easy access to the services for the HIV/AIDS, STI, Child health, Reproductive health etc., therefore, we strongly advocate for the capacity building of rural based organizations. Government of Nepal is going to finalize the National Strategy (2011-2016) to fight against HIV and AIDS in Nepal within few days and NANGAN has the honor that it has extended its possible contribution to this process through the wider participation of its member organizations in different levels. I would also like to ensure that NANGAN will never forget its prime duty of protection of human rights of infected and affected people along with all other vulnerable population and sexual minorities. I would like to thank to all organization those have been providing & provided their valuable support & cooperation to the long journey of NANGAN especially in the strengthening of networking, advocacy & capacity building of the member organizations. In same regard, I extend my sincere thanks to Save the Children, UNDP, UNAIDS, World Bank, NCASC, HSCB for their unflinching support & cooperation in the various steps of NANGAN. I think it is not the matter to spend more words that without the collaborative efforts of stakeholders to reach to our ultimate destination seems impossible; hence NANGAN expresses its strong commitment to seek & make the collaboration with all key stakeholders in the days ahead as well. I thank to all member organization for their active participation & great support in the grand success of NANGAN's 11th General Assembly and I am also thankful to all others who actively participated in the General Assembly. Selection of new committee through fully & truly democratic process & active participation has encouraged & ensured me that new team has gained enough enthusiasm and motivation to work ahead and It will give tangible outputs in future. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the past executive board members for their hard work and hope for their support and cooperation. Finally I request and welcome the suggestions from every corner to strengthen the capacity of NANGAN and make effective and consolidated efforts against HIV/AIDS & STI in Nepal. Thanking you Jagadish Chandra Bhatt President, NANGAN
