National NGOs Network Group
Against AIDS Nepal (NANGAN) is a national umbrella network
of NGOs focusing on HIV/AIDS/STI prevention and control. It
is an autonomous non-political and non-profit making network
run by the representatives of NGOs who are actively working
in the field of HIV/AIDS/STD. Currently NANGANs focus is
concentrated on lobbying and advocacy on issues relating to
HIV/AIDS prevention, with a very strong commitment for the
future care and support of PLWHAs.
NANGAN is registered (Reg.No –
603-052/053) in Kathmandu District Administration Office in
accordance with the NGO Registration Act 2034. NANGAN is
affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (Affiliation
number 16105/060/061).
NANGAN as a network currently has
138 NGO/INGO members. NANGAN is always keen to work
collaboratively with INGOs/NGOs/GOs and Community Based
Organization (CBOs) for better results on STD/HIV/AIDS
prevention, control and care and support.
Twelve members form an Executive
Board, which is elected by the member organisations. The
Board is the apex body of the Network that is responsible
for the communication and coordination between all member
organizations, INGOs and GOs.
